Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

collecting a judgment

I have a judgment and would like to put a lien on a life insurance policy. The policy is from a person recently deceased and has not been cashed by the defendant.

Thank you

Frank

Re: collecting a judgment

You most likely won't be able to put a lien on the policy, but you may be able to force the insurance company to pay you instead of the debtor. I specialize in collecting judgments; if you would like to discuss this matter, please feel free to contact me.

Re: collecting a judgment

Obtain a writ and then levy on the insurance company.
