Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Bailed out and arrested again

My brother was arrested in southern California on two outstanding warrents. Bail was set at $50,500. My parents bailed him out. He appeared at a hearing the following week, however during this hearing the judge continued the matter for another month. Prior to the next hearing, if my brother gets into trouble and is arrested on a separate, unrelated matter to the first arrest, and fails to appear at the next hearing because he is incarcerated due to the second arrest, will my parents be liable for the full amount of his bail pertaining to the first matter?

Re: Bailed out and arrested again

If the failure to appear is resulted due to being incarcerated on a separate matter, you must fill out a form with the jail facility to have them provide that to the court in which he was supposed to appear at. Does he not have an attorney for the initial criminal charges? Please contact my office at 310/277-1707 to fully discuss the matter so we can assess the situation.
