I believe in young love, and I think the law is messed up. But it is the law, and if you do the nasty with him, you risk getting him in bad trouble, especially if you were to become pregnant. A criminal record for a sex offense could make him have to register every time he moves, and it would cripple him forever in applying for jobs.

You can always get married, if he's interested, and your Mom approves; you would have to visit a marriage counselor and a judge.

I have been married to my teen sweetheart for 9 years now, but we waited 25 years to reunite and get married, and that is too long.

It is not illegal to date, just a felony for HIM to have any kind of sexual activity with you. If you really love him, you will not put him at such a risk. It will quite literally destroy his life.

And for all those who will jump to chastise me for allegedly putting the responsibility on you for this adult's potential criminal acts, I say HE did not write here for advice. You did, so I can only advise you.

There are many cases of true love that began at your young age and the marriage lasted fifty years and more.

Worth waiting two years, isn't it?

Good luck to you.

Seeing/dating might be ok but your boyfriend will find himself in trouble if there is sexy time . . .

You can date but not in a obsence or distruct the public. if you will indulge in sex activities then you both will be in trouble and arrested by police for public nuicence and your beloved may also get trouble in near future in getting job also. We are here for you but after 18 and 21 years of age and after that we will get you in the bond of marriage through court.

Best regards

You could consider moving to a different state. In Florida, for example, a 16-18 year old may legally consent to have sex with a person under the age of 24.

"Date"? Having sex will get him charged with statutory rape. "Dating" could get him charged with 'contributing to the delinquency of a minor' by parents that object.
