Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I was parked along a county road in CA. The guy who owns a local rock quarry mistakes me for someone he thought had trespassed on his land earlier in the day. He pulls his truck up to block the front of my veh and he then directs an employee to "Block" my veh from behind. I warned him that this was illegal . We both called the PD. 1 hr later they arrived and sent us our seperate ways., he denied that he had me blocked in, it was just how they parked. I went to the local sta, I took photos and a Sgt ordered an ofcr to take a False Imprisonment report. I never trespassed on this guys property and was legally parked on a county road.

And your question is?

Sounds like the police will forward the report to the District Attorney, who will decide whether to file false imprisonment charges against the quarry owner and/or his employee.

The DA might also decide to charge you with trespassing. I've seen many cases where someone persistently tries to get someone else prosecuted, but it backfires and they wind up being the one charged.

Calling the cops is like launching a nuclear missile: once you do it, there's no going back, the end result is beyond your control, and it could wind up ruining everything for everyone forever.
