Legal Question in Family Law in California

If my husband files for a divorce do I have to sign it? I feel that we should go through counseling first and work on it. Been married 25 1/2 years.

California is a no fault state for divorce. The other party does not need a reason. And, to be honest, he does not need your signature either. The whole thing can completely be done without your cooperation or your input. Better to participate and to make sure you get what you deserve, than to be stuck with what the other person simply decides to give you. Good luck!
