Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have a loan for $30,00 and have tried to get my husband off the loan but B of A has stated because it is such a large amount, he is still responible. Is there any way of getting him off when I file for divorce?

The divorce court does not have the power to order a lender to accept one borrower when they agreed to extend the loan or credit based on two people being responsible for the debt. The court can order you and your husband to each pay certain debts, and where financially possible to do things such as take out a debt consolidation loan or make other pay-off arrangments. But as long as the orginal debt exists, the court cannot order that the lender only collect from one of you.
