Taking everything
My sister got married in las Vegas and only lasted three weeks. Now her Ex
wants to take her home from her claiming that it is his right. He is
threatening her to take her home even though they have only known each
other for only two months prior to their Las Vegas wedding. She has legaly
owned that house for more than ten years. Does he have the right to her
house?

Your sister must act now! She can fight this guy for her house, but she cannot stall. She should contact an attorney but if cannot afford an attorney, she should call her local court clerk or Legal Aid for possible advice.

He does not have any right to any of the personal property she brought into the marriage unless she changed the deed to her house to make him joint owner. However, it is not enough just to HAVE a right. She must see an attorney to protect her rights.

He is only entitled to 1/2 of the pro rata value of the principle that was paid down during the duration of the marriage. So lets say a house payment was made during the three week marriage which paid down the principle by $500.00. He would be entitled to $250.00. Why don't you have your sister give me a call. I can help her to get rid of this sheister. The longer she waits to divorce this bumm, the more money he will be entitled to.
