Re: dog bite law suit

The successful party in a lawsuit can enforce the judgment only against the parties the judgment is against and their property. If you do not own the car, how would the plaintiff be able to go against the car; why would the legal owner of the car have to give it up when they have no judgment against them?

How is it your car if you do not own it? You may have to prove it to them that you do not own the car. Do you have any homeowner's or renter's insurance that might provide coverage? If the incident occurred on or very near to your property, ther might be insurance coverage.
