Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California

hi i have been in a relationship for close to 15 years and we have been living in mexico for the last 7 years but boyfriend fell off a ladder he is now in acoma his mother whom is 92 wants me to bring his car and valuables to her in san diego. i have not given up on him though and do not want to lose our place in mexico how ever i would not be able keep it all together with out our car my name is not on the car. can she come to mexico and take the car

Since you and the car are in Mexico, you probably need an "abogado" down there; the law of Mexico would probably apply, including the possibility that Mexico has an equivalent of "common law marriage" under which the two of you would be treated as spouses.

"Intellectual property" by the way, is patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets, not cars.
