Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I just got my EB 1A Green Card as an actress and I've been paying taxes in the US for 5 years. Even though I earn well when I work, there is Hiatus right now and sometimes there is a month with almost no work. Therefore I'm thinking of applying for unemployment to balance out these weeks.

Am I eligible to do so with a Green Card not being a Citizen?

Will that be in any way of disadvantage for the Green Card Status or a future Citizenship?
