Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Supervisors at my work are no longer allowing bottled water on the workroom floor. We must use drinking fountains. I have asthma, and frequently use water to fight symptoms. Is it legal for me to be prohibited from bringing water for health reasons?

It could be. An employer could have any number of reasons for instituting a policy, safety, protecting the workers, protecting the product or machinery, etc. Will they allow you to drink bottled water off the workroom floor? In a kitchen or break room for example? If so, that is probably a reasonable accommodation.
