The landlord has the right to enter the premises, whether land or dwellings, at reasonable times and for reasonable purposes, such as maintenance and upkeep, repairs, and periodically just to inspect for any maintenance or repair issues, upkeep, lease violations, etc. He does not have the right to search personal property brought onto the premises, such as a mobile home or a storage shed that is not permenantly affixed to the land, such as by a foundation. He can, however, insist that you prove you are not committing any lease violations in the mobile home or shed. You'd have to check your lease, but they usually prohibit hazardous materials and criminal activity, among other things. Absurd as it may sound, some people rent land and set up a drug lab in a mobile home, for example. So a landlord has a right to make sure nothing like that is going on.
