How long does the landlord have the right to hold on to the security deposit after tenent vacates the property. Asuming the has been no major damages to the property.

The landlord must provide a written statement of any amounts withheld from the security deposit and a refund of the balance of the security deposit 21 days after the tenant vacates. See Civil Code section 1950.5(g).
