Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I just received your response regarding my rental questions and am confused about the time limit you have to send the renter the security disposition, first you said 21 days then you stated 30 days. Which is correct? Thank you

21 days, even if the thirty day period for which the tenant is rent responsible has not elapsed.
