Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Timeshare contract problem

I will keep this short for you. In a nutshell, I joined a timeshare organization 2 years ago only because my $250.00 mainteance fees wouldn't have to be paid if I got 5 people to go to the presention, $50 a person. They no longer offer that and so I want my $2,000 refunded. I hope you can help!!! Thank you so so much. --name removed--

Re: Timeshare contract problem

The answer to your question is probably buried somewhere in your contract. Most time-share purchase documentation is carefully written by promoters and their attorneys who have examined every angle and plugged every loophole, with the net effect that they can take away the promotional goodies without having to make refunds. My experience with time shares is that there are many unhappy investors and very seldom a refund.
