Legal Question in Traffic Law in California

hit and run with property damage

I am to be arraigned on hit and run w/ property damage

and left turn violations (misdemeanors). I had a low-

speed accident w/ a motorcycle at dusk and fled in a

panic. That night police impounded the vehicle, which I

had borrowed. I made verbal and written police

statements the next day, taking responsibility for not

seeing the bike and leaving the scene. I was not

arrested. Do I need a lawyer? I plan to plead guilty .

Should I? What could happen in court?
