probate/tax exempt?

When someone inherits federal t bills POD -are those t bills exempt from probate and are they not counted as part of a estate that may exceed $2million?

It would depend on the beneficiary designation. Because they are POD, if you are the named benficiary, then they would be treated like life-insurance, a non-Probate interest. If, however, the named person was the purcaser,, and this is obviously the person who passed away, then the money would go to the estate and then would be subject to Probate.
