I think you are trying to find out whether your heart attack is covered under worker's compensation laws. I had a few similar cases. These cases require expert opinion i.e. codiologist. Yes, if the work environment in some way contributed to the heart attack. While disability may be apportioned to non-industrial factors, medical treatment may not be apportioned. Therefore, if there is a work related component to the stroke you will be entitled to temporary disability and medical treatment.

If you are a safety member [police or fire person] there is a heart and lung presumption that can be rebutted but it is very difficult to disprove it. Otherwise, you must have a medical opinion linking your employment to the heart or brain incident; that can be done, but if you are an employee you should go to an experienced employee's attorney for advice on finding such a Dr.
