Legal Question in DUI Law in Colorado

Live in Texas, DWIA in Colorado

My son lives and goes to school in Texas, but was working in Colorado for the summer. He received a DWIA (.05 alcohol). Will Colorado inform Texas and since Texas does not have the same laws (only .08 and above) how will Texas look at this offense?

Both states are part of the Interstate Drivers License compact, but I need some more information to better answer your question.

How old is your son?

Did Colorado suspend his DL?

Is his license issued by CO or TX?

contact me if you want more info-

I agree with Mr. Savela, and cannot speak for Colorado law. It is my impression, however, that if his license is not suspended, and if he is not on deferred or straight probation, that proactive notification will not take place. Depending upon CO law, however, the citation will probably appear on his record if searched.
