Legal Question in Traffic Law in Colorado

I was charged with failure to dim head lights and DUI in Costilla county, CO. I took a plea of reckless driving. The judge ordered alcohol classes. When I called the probation department to get an alcohol evaluation, the evaluator said she only deals with alcohol related offenses. Since this was a reckless driving charge, can the judge order alcohol classes?

Court can order the classes in this case. It happens all the time. It is called a wet reckless. Tell probation that the court ordered you to do it (show them the sentencing order). If that does not work to solve your problem, then go back to the judge and explain your problem.
