Legal Question in Criminal Law in Connecticut

charged with assault help please!

his primary charge is assault 2nd. breach of peace, 3rd degree and some others... i don't have in front of me.

im really concerned, he's 24, and the base of the situation is that, some guy didn't like him, and apparently tried to run him over.

my brother was drunk and he came back to my place, but as he was out again, he seen the same car that tried to hit me parked so he decided to shoot out the windows with his bb gun, well unfourtall he shot them out and didn't notice a person in the car, the bb went through her cheek and knocked out her tooth , but he didn't know that, he thought he just shot out the windows...

his bond is 100,000 i believe and im wondering is there anyway he could get away without doing time... even if i have to pay a fine , he's still in jail, but has not been sentenced..

im really just trying to cope with this in someway because im very close with my little brother... help and what I can expect is greatly appreciated.

Re: charged with assault help please!

Whether your brother might have to serve jail time depends on many things, including whether he has a record, how seriously the person was injured, what prosecutor is handling the case, how much evidence the State has to prove your brother was involved, and the attitude of the person that was injured. Feel free to call me for more information. I am on trial this week but you can leave a message on my cellphone (860.977.0660) and I will return the call that day.
