Legal Question in Criminal Law in Connecticut

Dui

My fiance' had a motorcycle accident July 5th. He didnt injure anyone else but did injure himself and is very lucky to be alive. He has a tramatic brain injury and lost his eye sight from one eye. IN all the police arrested him in Oct for a DUI.

They conducted a BAC and came up with a .17 during the accident. This man was bleeding to death and yet they did a BAC.

My question is , will a BAC be accurate with such blood loss that night and a tramatic brain injury. Can the police use this BAC?
