Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

children

Is there a way to protect a child from emotional abuse or manipulation by an absent parent. This would include phone calls during which such parent discusses suicidal thoughts, depressive thoughts, and tries to convince the child that nobody in her family loves him. Conversations that are effective enough to cause the child to lose sleep, have fits of crying and require professional psychological counseling?

Re: children

You need to get a court order prohibiting the absent parent from contacting the child.
