Legal Question in Family Law in Connecticut

Who pays what

I am in process of a divorce. I was in a domestic violence situation my lawyer did not use any evidence proving his violence. I had to cave on custody and share. I gave up the house and moved leaving my name on the mortgage for enough time for him to refinance. Now I am unemployed for the 1st time in my life (I fully supported my ex while he was unemployed for quite a while) and I want my soon-ex to pay cobra for me- he refuses and MY lawyer tells me he has no money - why is this my problem? he pays no child support he pays for nothing for the kids and no alimony and he used all our marital assets to pay for the divorce on his end only I had to borrow money from family - Am I getting a raw deal from my ex AND lawyer?

Re: Who pays what

I can not answer the question based upon the limited facts stated in your inquiry. If the divorce is not final, then you shouldn't agree to anything without getting a second or even third opinion.
