Re: My Son

You didn't give enough background information like were you ever married to the mother and is there a divorce decree. If not, what kind of action was filed that put your son in the grandmother's care and have you ever had custody? Why didn't you ask for custody when your son was placed with his grandmother?

If there already is an action somewhere, you could file within that action for custody. You may be able to file a custody action in the State of Florida while he is there and ask for a temporary order in FL to keep him there. However, this all depends on what other actions were filed and where.

You must make sure you inform the court in FL of any other actions, even in CT.
