Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Connecticut

I have inherited the house I've lived in for 59 years when my mother and father died. My mother died almost 31/2 yr ago and my father 1 yr ago. The problem is the lawyer handling the estate is really dragging his feet. He is located in MA and I am in CT. We have real estate in both states. He never returns calls to both me and my sister. My sister lives in MA about a mile from this lawyer. How should I go about to getting the deed in my name? I've been taking care of this house and paying the taxes etc for the last 20 yr or better.

Did your father die a resident of CT or MA? If MA, then an "ancillary administration" would need to be opened in the CT probate court (Manchester?). If he died in CT, then the main administration would be in CT, with the ancillary administration in MA. Either way, there should be something opened up in CT. You should contact the probate court, by letter, cc to the lawyer, asking for a status conference. If there's nothing in CT, write the letter to the MA probate court. If you get no response, technically you can open up an estate (ancillary or full) yourself in CT to handle the property here.
