Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Connecticut

my mother and I and my sister bought a house together, the house is in my mothers name and then there is a living trust with all three of our names on the house. last april my sister burned the house to the ground with a ciggarette she did not put out. the insurannce paid for the house to be rebuilt and the contents. Now my mom is mad at me for something stupid and is taking my name off of the trust even though I have been paying the mortgage for the last five years and she never gave me a penny from the insurance money to cover what I lost in the fire...about 60,000. worth of stuff. What can I do to get my money from the contents I lost. Do I need to sue her in order to do this? What kind of lawyer do I need?

Unfortunately, yes, you do have to sue her. Has she spent the insurance money yet? A general practice lawyer will do it for you, but not on a contingency. Expect to pay $200 - $300 per hour with a $2500 retainer, at least.
