Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Connecticut

Will & Survivorship

My mom passed recently from a terminal illness. She owned a house and had life insurance. She signed a will stating her wishes for her life insurance and home. The insurance company gave the money to the boyfriend. He took 60% of the isurance money. And he was in survivorship with the house. I need a lawyer to investigate the insurance matter to see what I'm fully entitled to? Is there a way I can get the deposit money my mom had paid on the house?

Re: Will & Survivorship

the answers will depend on how your mom's will reads and what the insurance company has for a beneficiary designation. If the house was owned in survivorship, I don't believe you have a good claim to any part of it.
