Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Delaware

disbursement of an inheritance from a will

My mother has a will any monies left to me I want to go to a charity. Is there a legal form or way that I do this at the time of the reading of her will?

Can a person put in there will this... If anyone contest or disagrees with this will, will be excluded and left with nothing?

Re: disbursement of an inheritance from a will

You may be better off just receiving your inheritance and then donating it to charity yourself

The clause you refer to is called a forfeiture clause and your state's law will determine whether you can use such a clause in your own Will.

Consult your accountant on the first question and a qualified trust and estate attorney on the second question.
