Legal Question in Consumer Law in District of Columbia

Are there any laws regulating hotel reservation cancellation policies. I called more than 24 hours in advance to cancel only to be told you had to call 48 hours in advance. I was never told that they had a policy that deviated from the norm. I made this reservation and cancelled it over the phone, so there was no notification of any kind given. I know I can protest the charge on my credit card, but it seems like this would be a great class action lawsuit.

Basis for "great class action lawsuit"? I would doubt it.

Basis for claim of charge back on reservationist's credit card? Absolutely.
