Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida

Amending Original Complaint filed in Florida Federal Court

My original complaint did not make mention of the Fair Labor Standards Act, only that I had been retailated against for complaining to Management that myself and others we were having to work extra time in order to meet the daily demands of the job that management defines as a standard performance level. Although the FLSA was noted throughout the case, it is missing from the complaint as one of the laws having been violated. I was fired for ''stirring the pot'' as management put it. The statue of limitation has passed and would therefore need to be added as amending the original complaint to clarify. Can I do this?
