Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

The attorney for my Condo Association is threatening to foreclose on a lien for unpaid association fees. Can a Condo Association foreclose on my unit, or are they trying to put a lien on my unit?

They can do both. If you don't pay, first they can put a lien on your unit. They can later foreclose the lien. If they foreclose, the proceeding is similar to a mortgage foreclosure. The condo would potentially take ownership of your condo and you would be forced to leave.
