Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

My Son was picked up for failure to appear in court. He was in drug classes and missed too many classes so the court told him the next time he misses a class he was to spend a weekend in jail. He did approx. 18mths of drug class and was late for drug class because he was a full time college student trying to graduate. There was a warrent issued in 2007 for his arrest, he was captured about a month ago during a routine stop. There was a no bond issued, how long can they hold him without issueing a bond? will his time spent in drug class help any? Public defender said he will not be allowed back to drug class. Is there any other way of getting these charges removed from his record?

You should probably hire an attorney, or make the PD do her job. Your son should not have no bond for any offense for which he was sent to drug court. He hay not get back into drug court, but there are other options. Good luck.
