Agree with Mr. Smitten; she is bluffing, lying or spoke to the wrong attorney and has unrealistic expectations.

She would be entitled to an equitable distribution of the marital assets and liabilities. In a marriage of that short duration, an alimony award be unlikely, so I am not sure why she would think she is going to take everything he has. She is not likely to have to pay him back for the augmentation, unless he can actually prove some sort of malfeasance on her part.

Odd that you are asking the questions rather than him. I would think you are the wife. You would only be entitled to that amount that you have contributed under equitable distribution. You should hope that your augmentation equalled at least your share of equitable distribution otherwise you may in fact owe DAD.
