father mentally ill
The father of my children is on disability for clinical depression, can't work, hard for him to function. He now wants custody of our children after allowing me to move out of the house with them 6 months ago. Can this happen, even though he is mentally ill?

It could happen, but mental illness is one giant strike against him. You need to get a good custody lawyer right away to make sure this doesn't happen.
