Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Are there any other options besides retaining a lawyer to get custody arrangements legalized? If my ex and I can agree to our own terms, is there any way for us to have them legally documented instead of going to court and going through that process?

YOu must have court approval for any order that is ultimately issued to seal your deal. YOu do not have to have an attorney, however, if you do not you run the risk of not getting what you are actually agreeing to. I suggest you contact an attorney, let them know you BOTH are in agreement and would like for the papers to be drawn up to sign. If the attorney knows you are in agreement, the fee will be much much smaller and your wishes will be fulfilled.
