Impossible to answer. The Florida legislature is in session and they are making a total rewrite of the alimony statute. It has not been finalized, no decision until the Governor announces whether or not he will sign it.

Whether you leave or stay has nothing to do with alimony. It is based on the income of the parties, the term of the marriage, along with a list of factors as to whether it would be awarded or not. As to the recent legislature - this is from what I have read based on the permanent alimony, it does not include the other elements, ie lump sum, bridge the gap etc.

She has little chance of getting any alimony, FL law is about to change.
