Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

fired or demotion

I've worked for a fast food giant for years.

I was doing a great job until recently the market coach of my area has put me on his list. He has been talking to other managers and employees behind my back. I'v tried to set up a conference in person and writing to talk about any problems that he has against me. He's won't talk to me or give me any straight answers. He's done this to all the black managers he's had in his market. I fear that I'm next on the list. He's undermined my authority with my co-workers and has slandered my name. He's accused me of lying, stealing, and violating company policies. He has white managers with worse violations I could ever think of.

Please can someone tell me what to do.

Re: fired or demotion

If you believe you are being treated differently because of your race, you can file a Complaint/Charge of Discrimination with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. This is the first step before a lawsuit could ever be filed if there exists the basis for one. You can file with the EEOC on your own or with an attorney, one of the differences of course being cost.
