Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Unemployment Appeal Hearing

I have an unemployment appeal

hearing. I am being denied

unemployment because my base

period does not equal the states

requirements. I have had an income

of over $40,000 for the past 10

years, but from 6/07-5/08 I was on

maternity leave and extended

medical leave due to post labor

complications. I have medical

paperwork to back that up. But the

base period they are using is with

that 12 month period.

Do I have any rights to

unemployment?

Generally, the state give unemployment compensation and any question is resolved on the side of the employee. If you need additional information I suggest you call my office for a consultation. I do charge for the consult.
