Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

we own a condo in Florida and have fallen behind on the maintenance fees they were due in November and late by november 15th and we had an attorneys letter regarding payment and legal fees were included by the 10th of the month. I tried paying the bill on line on 12-31-12 as I have many times before and they refused my payment. I now have received a letter today from the attorney again with January's payment included, again with legal fees it is not late until the 15th what is my recourse they are also threatening forclosure. there is a mortgage on the property can they do that?

Yes, they can foreclose the condo's lien. Make the payment by mail if you cannot do it online. The longer you wait the greater the fees and any interest or late fees which will apply.
