Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Is a Life Estate protected against creditors?

My daughter bought a mobile home for me to live in. She has her own home. I pay all the mortgage, taxes etc. on the home. In case anything should happen to my daughter, I would be homeless, and so we would like to put me down as ''life estate''.I have bad credit because of my illness. I would like to know if my creditors could put a lein on this home.

thanks

If they obtain a judgment against you they could pursue your interest in the property. I doubt they ever would, since it only has a value to you.
