Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I live in a home that belongs to my mother and have lived there for seven years. I pay the taxes on the house. House has no mortgage. I filed for bankruptcy last year, but want to do quick claim deed so I could apply for homestead exemption. Will this affect me in anyway??

Huh? Your mother owns the house? She is the one who has to apply for homestead if she lives there. Any deeds would need to be executed by your mother.
