Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

i was with mate of 20 yrs..with our two kids..he bought a house in fl,,and after a yr he dies of cancer,i am not on the mortage loan...but have been paying the mortage for 16 months now,, the bank, i dont think knows he is deceased,,,can I walk away ,,what am i reliable for??

If you are not on the loan you are not liable for repayment. If you were never married, it is likely that you don't have any title interest in the property. His kids may inherit the property, and you may have a financial interest if you paid to prevent a foreclosure, because they have been unjustly enriched in the event that they want to keep the house.
