Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

A notice was put on my condo that my lanlord is behind on his associtation fees and I needed to forward my rent to the firm that represents the association. I was told by the lawyer to comply and I would not get evicted. What do I do ?

That is correct. Under a new Florida law, the association has the right to collect rent directly from the tenant if the owner (landlord) is not paying their dues.
