Destroyed will

A will that I was named in has vanished after my aunt died. She let me read it but I didn't make a copy. The friend she was staying with claims she had no will but

I think she did somthing with it after my aunt died.

What can I do? And what will happen if no will appears? Thanks

Re: Destroyed will

If the will or an authentic copy cannot be found, it is presumed that your aunt destroyed or revoked it. Her estate would go to her heirs, lineal decendants first. That leaves you out if she was survived by parents, children or grandchildren. You would be in the next tier if no lineals exist.
