Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Beneficiary Rights

I am a beneficiary on my grandmothers trust and I feel that it is not being handled the way my grandmother wishes. I found out today that there is no attorney governing the way the trust is disbursed. Can you please help me find out what my rights are as a beneficiary? I would like to be able to see an accounting of where all of the money went to, but I feel that the trustee will not be honest with me because she has already lied about several things pertaining to my grandmothers estate. Please help me or point me in the right direction.

Thank You!

Re: Beneficiary Rights

Are you a minor? Regardless, you should schedule a formal consultation with a lawyer. A good means of obtaining an attorney referral is by contacting your State's bar association or your local county bar association. They probably have a web site and charge a nominal fee for the referral. Most attorneys either provide a free initial consultation, or charge a nominal fee.

A court can and often does order accountings, but you should really confer with an attorney.
