Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

Assistant Wrestling Coach - Parent Volunteer

I was an Assistant Wrestling Coach - Parent Volunteer for my son's high school. Before becoming one, the school required that I file a "Application For Volunteer Assistant Coaching Position".

I have suffered a neck injury during a practice session on school property which required me to be hospitalized and surgery. The bills are enormous.

Is the school liable for persons getting hurt or injured while on their property as a volunteer coach?

There is no way to answer this question given the limited facts you supplied. You need to see a Personal Injury attorney ASAP. Florida has a relatively short statute of limitations and if steps are not taken within the time limit you waive or forfeit all rights.
