Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia
Licensed auto broker concerns
I post ads for classic cars on a web site I own and solicit potential buyers on behalf of the sellers through my web site. Buyers wire money through my account equal to the asking price and I pay out the requested price by the seller and keep the difference. This price difference is taxed as income each quarter. I have a brokers lisence issued by the state of Georgia in Gwinette county. A former co-worker is asking local law enforcement that I be investigated because he claims I am doing business illegally. Am I?

Re: Licensed auto broker concerns
I don't see anything right off that sounds illegal on your part. However, for peace of mind, you might want to spend a few bucks on a private investigator I know in Lawrenceville who is internet savvy and has a background in law enforcement. If you would like his contact info, I will be happy to provide it.
