Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

I have a tax lien filed in Ben Hill County Georgia by the GA. Dept of Revenue. I have not lived in Ben Hill county for over 15 years and own no property in GA. Can the state of GA. place a lien on my property in MS. (I have been a resident of MS. for 2 1/2 years) The collection agency is telling me the lien is on my social security number. Is this legal?

There is no such thing as a "lien on a social security number."

As to what remedies the state can pursue in Mississippi, see a lawyer in that state. A tax debt in one state is certainly collectable elsewhere and in talking with collectors you increase the chance they will succeed.
