Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

suit from bond loss claim

I previously worked for a federally insured company. I was charged with embezzlement. The amount charged in federal court was repaid before the case was heard.

I am now told that I am going to be sued by the bonding company for further losses.

My question concerns whether my spouse can have his wages garnished (I am unemployed) and can have any of his assets attached.

Re: suit from bond loss claim

Your husband cannot be liable solely based on your marital relation. If he has other involvement, culpability or signed some type of contract, he could conceivably be involved. It appears, just from the facts you have related, that he would not have any clear liability.
